PURPOSE: We examined the hypothesis that mutations in mTOR pathway genes are associated with response to rapalogs in metastatic renal cell carcinoma (mRCC). EXPERIMENTAL DESIGN: We studied a cohort of mRCC patients who were treated with mTOR inhibitors with distinct clinical outcomes.
