Plant microRNA (miRNA) target MIMICs (MIMs) are non-coding RNA transcripts that can inhibit endogenous miRNAs, as they contain a miRNA binding site that forms a three nucleotide (nt) mismatch loop opposite the miRNA cleavage site upon miRNA binding.
