BACKGROUND: Paroxysmal dyskinesia is a rare neurological disorder characterized by paroxysmal movement disorders. Paroxysmal movement disorders include kinesigenic choreoathetosis, nonkinesigenic choreoathetosis or dyskinesia (PNKD), exercise-induced choreoathetosis, and hypnogenic paroxysmal dystonia.
