Eleven strains from hamster of Bisgaard taxa 23 and 24, also referred to as Krause's groups 2 and 1, respectively, were investigated by a polyphasic approach including data published previously. Strains showed small, regular and circular colonies with smooth and shiny appearance, typical of members of the family Pasteurellaceae.
