After the completion of the Human Genome Project, the era of providing personalized dietary advice based on an individual's genetic profile seemed near. Since then more than a decade has passed and the pace of development has been slower than expected. Genotyping single nucleotide polymorphisms which may determine susceptibility to multifactorial diseases is cheaper and more accessible than it was ten years ago....
