A novel reovirus, designated Cimodo virus (CMDV), was isolated from mosquitoes collected in a rainforest region in Côte d'Ivoire. The entire genome comprised 24 835 bp divided into 12 segments ranging from 585 to 4080 bp. The icosahedral non-enveloped virions were 80 nm in diameter.
