A novel actinomycete strain, designated VRC07(T), was isolated from a Callistemon citrinus rhizosphere sample collected from Hyderabad, India. Its taxonomic status was determined by using polyphasic approach. It is a Gram-positive, aerobic, non-motile, weakly acid-fast strain.
