Bovine pituitary explants and cell cultures were incubated with [32P]orthophosphate. Extracts were prepared from the explants and analyzed by sodium dodecyl sulfate-containing acrylamide gel electrophoresis and autoradiography revealing a phosphoprotein that co-migrated with authentic bovine prolactin.
