Aryl hydrocarbon receptor-interacting protein-like 1 (AIPL1) is a photoreceptor specific chaperone of the visual effector enzyme phosphodiesterase-6 (PDE6). AIPL1 has been shown to bind the farnesylated PDE6A subunit.
