This study demonstrates the capacity of the one-step polymerase chain reaction (PCR) fingerprinting method using the microsatellite primers (GACA)4 or (GTG)5 (MSP-PCR) to identify six of the most frequent dermatophyte species causing cutaneous mycosis.
