GOALS/BACKGROUND: The importance of hepatitis B virus (HBV) genotype and mutations has been increasingly recognized. We aimed to determine HBV genotype, precore (PC), and basal core promoter region (BCP) mutations in a HBV multiethnic South Florida population.
