Corynebacterium tuberculostearicum is a lipophilic corynebacterium validly characterized in 2004. We provide clinical information on 18 patients from whom this organism was isolated. The majority of the patients were hospitalized and had a history of prolonged treatment with broad-spectrum antimicrobials.
