OBJECTIVES: To characterize UK clinical isolates of Enterobacteriaceae producing OXA-48-like carbapenemases and to compare their resistance plasmids. METHODS: Twenty-six enterobacteria producing OXA-48-like enzymes were studied. These were from 22 diverse hospitals in the UK.
