PURPOSE: We have previously shown the use of the insulin-like growth factor type 1 receptor tyrosine kinase (IGF-1RTK) inhibitor picropodophyllin (PPP) as an attractive strategy to combat multiple myeloma (MM) in vitro and in vivo.
