BACKGROUND AND AIMS: TPMT deficiency is associated with azathioprine (AZA)-induced myelosuppression (MS). However, in one previous study, only about ¼ of MS episodes in Crohn's Disease patients under AZA can be attributed to TPMT deficiency.
