Viral hemorrhagic septicemia virus (VHSV) and infectious hematopoietic necrosis virus (IHNV) are members of the genus Novirhabdovirus within the Rhabdoviridae family, which can cause severe hemorrhagic disease in fresh- and saltwater fish worldwide.
