The sulfotransferase (SULT) is an important factor in phase II metabolism. Three single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs; MmeSUl-696, MmeSUl-714 and MmeSUl-806) were discovered in a SULT-like gene of Meretrix meretrix.
