Using the method of colicinogenotyping by means of specific indicators, the author examined 1949 strains of Shigella sonnei isolated in 1983-1988 from patients with the diagnosis of bacillary dysentery in the capital of Slovakia Bratislava, as well as in other places in the West Slovakian region.
