Mounting evidence suggests that hypertension is strongly linked to a variety of lipoprotein metabolism abnormalities. Apolipoprotein E gene (ApoE) is one such candidate with its common ɛ2/ɛ3/ɛ4 polymorphism ranking high in hypertension association.
