OBJECTIVES: Apricitabine (ATC) is a novel deoxycytidine analogue nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NRTI) with significant antiviral activity in vitro, including activity against HIV-1 with reverse transcriptase mutations that confer resistance to other NRTIs.
