Pyridoxal phosphate (PLP), a vitamin B(6) vitamer, is an essential cofactor for numerous enzymes. Pyridoxine/pyridoxamine phosphate oxidase (PPOX) catalyzes the synthesis of pyridoxal phosphate from pyridoxine phosphate (PNP) and/or pyridoxamine phosphate (PMP).
