Adrenal composite pheochromocytoma is rare, most of which is functional, and extra-adrenal composite paraganglioma is extremely rare. We describe and compare the clinicopathological and immunohistochemical features of a retroperitoneal extra-adrenal composite paraganglioma and an adrenal composite pheochromocytoma.
