Papillon-Lefevre syndrome and Haim Munk syndrome are palmoplantar keratodermas associated with premature periodontal destruction. The additional findings of Haim Munk Syndrome include onychogryphosis, arachnodactyly, acral osteolysis and pes planus. Both are associated with mutations in the lysosomal protease cathepsin C.
