Two human genomic clones (lambda hg22 and lambda hg29), containing two novel calmodulin (CaM) retropseudogenes, were isolated and characterized. The two pseudogenes show high similarity with the human CaMII cDNA, hCE1 [SenGupta et al., J. Biol.
