The genome composition of asymmetric somatic hybrids, obtained by fusion of leaf protoplasts from Lycopersicon esculentum and gamma-irradiated leaf protoplasts from L. peruvianum, was characterised by Southern blot analysis using 29 restriction fragment length polymorphism markers.
