Regulation of phenylalanine biosynthesis has been studied in the bacterium Methylobacillus M75 on the level of enzymes 3-deoxy-D-arabinoheptulose-7-phosphate-synthase, chorismatmutase, prephenatdehyrataze. The DAHP-synthase is shown to be synthesized constitutively and its activity is inhibited by all aromatic aminoacids and antranilate.
