A patient with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) transforming into a small non-cleaved cell lymphoma (SNCL) with the occurrence of a t(8;22) is described. The SNCL and the CLL were both found to have a germline lambda light chain gene configuration and the same heavy chain and kappa light chain gene rearrangements.
