Abstract excerpt
Stemphylium is a genus of plant pathogens and saprobes in the Pleosporaceae (Pleosporales, Dothideomycetes, Ascomycetes). The teleomorphs of Stemphylium, where known, are in Pleospora, with Pleospora herbarum as the type.
