The Oryza sativa subsp. indica reference cultivar (cv.), 93-11 is completely resistant to many Chinese isolates of the rice blast fungus. Resistance segregated in a 3:1 (resistance/susceptible) ratio in an F(2) population from the cross between 93-11 and the japonica reference cv.
