OBJECTIVES: To analyse the prevalence and diversity of integrons in faecal Escherichia coli isolates from healthy humans in Spain. METHODS: One hundred E. coli isolates were obtained in Levine agar plates from faecal samples of 100 healthy humans during March to October 2007.
