The X-linked McLeod neuroacanthocytosis syndrome (MLS) has originally been denoted as 'benign' McLeod myopathy. We assessed the clinical findings and the muscle pathology in the eponymous index patient, Hugh McLeod, and in nine additional MLS patients.
