A phenomenon of bacteriocinogeny is studied in 83 K-type strains of Klebsiella. Physicochemical (permeability through cellophane, thermo-resistance, diffusion rate in agar, inactivation by trypsin, induction by UV irradiation) and biological (activity spectrum, specificity) properties are studied.
