Isolated methylmalonic acidurias comprise a heterogeneous group of inborn errors of metabolism caused by defects of methylmalonyl-CoA mutase (MCM) (mut0, mut-) or deficient synthesis of its cofactor 5'-deoxyadenosylcobalamin (AdoCbl) (cblA, cblB).
