In gametophytic cells (prothalli) of the fern Adiantum capillus-veneris, nuclei as well as chloroplasts change their position according to light conditions. Nuclei reside on anticlinal walls in darkness and move to periclinal or anticlinal walls under weak or strong light conditions, respectively.
