Abstract excerpt
We analyzed leaf shape variations in Ainsliaea apiculata Sch. Bip. to evaluate the uniqueness of morphological characters in populations on Yakushima Island, Kagoshima Prefecture, Japan. Leaf size and shape from populations on Yakushima Island (n = 300) were compared with those from populations in other areas of Japan (n = 300).
