Mucopolysaccharidosis type VII or Sly syndrome is an autosomal recessive disorder of glycosaminoglycan storage leading to variable clinical symptoms, such as hepatosplenomegaly, bone deformities, hearing loss, corneal opacities, mental retardation, and hydrops fetalis in affected individuals.
