A genetic analysis was performed on Polish ostriches from the 3 principal ostrich breeds: red-, blue-, and black-necks. The analysis was based on 2 molecular methods: DNA fingerprinting and microsatellites. The DNA fingerprinting patterns were obtained using the restriction enzyme HinfI and Jeffrey's 33.15 probe.
