Flavobacterium psychrophilum is a psychrotrophic, fish-pathogenic bacterium belonging to the Cytophaga-Flavobacterium-Bacteroides group. Tn4351-induced mutants deficient in gliding motility, growth on iron-depleted media, and extracellular proteolytic activity were isolated.
