BACKGROUND & AIMS: The syndrome of immunodysregulation, polyendocrinopathy, enteropathy, X-linked (IPEX) is a rare disorder resulting in the expression of multiple autoimmune and allergic features. Early onset enteropathy and type 1 diabetes (T1D) are the most common clinical features.
