Lactic acid bacteria from 18 Spanish goat cheeses produced by seven dairies were isolated to evaluate the genetic diversity of this bacterial community. 136 representative isolates were characterized by phenotyping and Randomly Amplified Polymorphic DNA (RAPD-PCR) analysis.
