Bunyamwera virus (BUN) is the prototype virus of the family Bunyaviridae. BUN has a tripartite negative-sense RNA genome comprising small (S), medium (M), and large (L) segments. Partially complementary untranslated regions (UTRs) flank the coding region of each segment.
