An up to date understanding of the sickle cell disease's pathophysiology needs a comprehensive approach of molecular cellular, vascular and genetic data. All those new knowledgeable domains give support to renewed therapeutic perspectives. However, the here given manuscript is limited to elementary pathophysiology leaving the other tissue specific or systemic complications fields.
