Mitochondrial trifunctional protein (TFP) deficiency is a clinically heterogeneous disorder with phenotypes of different severity. Early onset, severe forms predominantly exhibit cardiomyopathy, life-threatening arrhythmias and liver dysfunction; the later-onset, milder phenotype is mainly characterized by neuromyopathic features.
