The PlArg locus in the sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) inbred line Arg1575-2 conferring resistance to at least four tested races (300, 700, 730, 770) of downy mildew (Plasmopara halstedii) was localized by the use of simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers. Bulked segregant analysis (BSA) was conducted on 126 individuals of an F2 progeny from a cross between a downy mildew susceptible line, CmsHA342, and Arg1575-2....
