The level of genetic diversity was estimated in a local population of Colorado potato beetle using ISSR-markers and specific pronotum patterns. In contrast to the unchanged level of diversity in ISSR, Shannon's diversity index calculated on the base of pronotum pattern variants was decreasing during summer testifying adaptivity of that sign.
