The p74 gene of Autographa californica multicasid nucleopolyhedrovirus (AcMNPV) bacmid was knockouted and substituted by the p74 gene of Spodoptera litura multicapsid nucleopolyhedrovirus (SpltMNPV), using RecA-mediated homologous recombination in the E. coli.
