This work introduces and demonstrates the applicability of universally primed-PCR (UP-PCR) for differentiating bacterial symbionts of entomopathogenic nematodes. Furthermore, typing by UP-PCR product cross-hybridisation was successfully introduced to cluster the bacterial strains.
