The taxonomic position of Vibrio trachuri was examined through a polyphasic approach using 16S rDNA sequencing, fluorescent amplified fragment length polymorphisms (FAFLP), DNA-DNA hybridization experiments, G+C content of DNA and phenotypical tests.
