OBJECTIVE: To explore relationship between polymorphism of ACE gene and hypertension. METHODS: A cross-sectional study was conducted and PCR technique was used to analyze gene polymorphism. RESULTS: Genotypes DD, ID and II of ACE gene accounted for 13.0% and 9.7%, 50.9% and 48.4%, and 36.1% and 41.9%, respectively, in the normotensives and hypertensives.
