OBJECTIVE: To determine the linkage between Smith-Fineman-Myers syndrome (SFMS) and X-linked nuclear protein(XNP) locus. METHODS: Polymerase chain reaction and denaturing polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis were used to genotype two polymorphic short tandem repeats within XNP gene.
